We have endured potholes on Albe drive, Newark Delaware for years. The fix is always faulty and potholes remain. Seems to be a question of bad or worse. We pay millions of taxes in this industrial park. We want some repaving and it is way overdue!

The pawnbrokers' symbol is three spheres suspended from a bar. The three sphere symbol is attributed to the Medici family of Florence, Italy, owing to its symbolic meaning of Lombard.[1] This refers to the Italian province of Lombardy, where pawn shop banking originated under the name of Lombard banking. The three golden spheres were originally the symbol which medieval Lombard merchants hung in front of their houses, and not the arms of the Medici family. It has been conjectured that the golden spheres were originally three flat yellow effigies of byzants, or gold coins, laid heraldically upon a sable field, but that they were converted into spheres to better attract attention.

Most European towns called the pawn shop the "Lombard". The House of Lombard was a banking family in medieval London, England. According to legend, a Medici employed by Charlemagne slew a giant using three bags of rocks. The three ball symbol became the family crest. Since the Medicis were so successful in the financial, banking, and money lending industries, other families also adopted the symbol. Throughout the Middle Ages, coats of arms bore three balls, orbs, plates, discs, coins and more as symbols of monetary success. This Helsinki based sculptor shows a close attachment to cows through her works. She is one who works with cows in more than one way and her academic history goes on to prove it. She did attend an art school to pursue her interest in sculpting but also spent one full year at the Dairy Farming School. Adding a bit of mechanics to her two fields of study she came up with these gigantic bovine creatures that adorn the hillsides and countryside keeping an eye on all the grazing cows.

It is not an easy job to acquire old cars. Although there being plenty many people do not wish to part with their cars. Akkijyrkka often goes trekking in her country and in the process also looks out for used cars. Having successfully purchased the old cars she heads homewards where every car is carefully pulled apart, welded where necessary and soon given a completely new makeover. These creatures made out of scraps of used cars stand tall amidst nature presenting a definite figure which otherwise would have been parts of huge junkyards.

The cow sculptors created by Akkijyrkka break the monotony of the green stretches with the myriad colors they exhibit. As all the cars she has made use of are of varied colors, her cows also come out in multiple shades. The very form and posture of these cows also present a variety with some standing erect, some grazing while some sitting in a comfortable position simply taking a look at the lovely surroundings.

The "Memorial Portrait for Amy Winehouse" shows the "Body & Soul" singer wearing her signature beehive hairstyle, and we get a feeling of serenity and peace through the flowers and lone bird nestled in her big hair. On his latest creation Edwards said, "I thought of her as a beautifully delicate fairy-tale princess, waiting to be rescued from fame and addiction, but her prince never came. I had always expected to sculpt her portrait, but I was waiting for her to put some of her troubles behind her. She had made me pay attention to contemporary music again."
